Projects - Young People in Decision Making

Timeframe: 2003

The Foundation for Young Australians commissioned the YRC to explore some of the complexities of working alongside young people in decision-making roles. This research, involving interviews with 20 young people and active partipiation by youth researchers, has resulted in a detailed document summarising new developments in the involvement of young people in decision-making and an exploration of current practice. Drawing on an innovative conceptual framework, the project has produced a 'tool-kit' for engaging young people in decision-making.

The report from this project, Sharing a new story: young people in decision making, is available from the Centre.
