The YRC worked as consultant and writer to the Hong Kong Life Education Activity Programmme, developing drug education materials for their year 8 and 9 program. This built on previous work completed to provide a bilingual K-7 program for use in Cantonese and English language schools in Hong Kong. The Year 8 and 9 materials focus on drugs, alcohol, ecstasy, cannabis and ketamine. Resources include a Teacher’s manual and support pack, professional development materials, trigger videos exploring situations in which choices about drug use must be made and a drug information video.

Consultation workshops and focus groups were conducted with students and teachers in Cantonese and English speaking schools in Hong Kong. Lesson plans were developed and scripts prepared for a video shoot and the video completed.
