Single Subject Study via the Community Access Program (CAP)

The Melbourne Graduate School of Education offers a wide variety of short courses for students of all ages. Single subjects can be taken at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, for general interest or to enhance your career development.

Subject Availability
Most undergraduate and postgraduate Education subjects are available through CAP, provided the stated prerequisites (or co-requisites) for the chosen subject have been completed.

Postgraduate subjects are often undertaken by teachers seeking further professional development and a single subject enrolment enables them to access the latest research and knowledge in a particular subject area without enrolling in a full course. Teachers may also undertake an additional secondary teaching methodology subject to add to existing qualifications (provided the necessary discipline studies have been completed in the first degree).

Applications to study subjects with a practicum requirement (eg. supervised practice teaching) will be considered on an individual basis.
