CEOM Student Wellbeing Drama Festival Update

45 primary and secondary schools from across the Archdiocese of Melbourne will be participating in the inaugural CEOM Student Wellbeing Drama Festival. The Festival aims to :-

  1. empower school communities to foster their capacity to promote the wellbeing of the school community,
  2. support student wellbeing within a framework of a whole school approach, promotion of student resilience and the primary prevention and early intervention model,
  3. promote school engagement through the arts,
  4. use drama as a tool to explore issues that underpin the promotion of social and emotional wellbeing,
  5. encourage excellence in the presentation of short performances that can stimulate, move and entertain audiences, and
  6. encourage active participation in theatre making for aspiring writers, directors and performers in a supportive environment this fostering growth in the theatre.

The Festival will be held over 6 nights at two locations; the Clocktower Centre in Moonee Ponds (28/05, 02/06 and 03/06) and the Whitehorse Centre in Nunawading (17/06, 19/06 and 20/06). Participating schools will receive detailed information about the Festival (including performance guidelines, technical specifications and ticketing details) shortly.
