Melbourne Early Career Researcher Grant Scheme
(for funding in 2008)

The Early Career Researcher (ECR) grant scheme supports early career researchers to undertake high quality projects and pilot projects, develop their track record and compete for external funding.

The ECR scheme supports one year grants ranging between $5,000 and $25,000. Applicants should normally be in the first five years of an academic or research appointment at the University and have not previously held an Australian Competitive Grant.

2008 submission dates are yet to be confirmed by the Melbourne Research Office, but are likely to be in July. Applications for 2008 ECR grants should be submitted to Emily Murray in Research Services, electronically and in hard copy.

Further information on the 2008 ECR Scheme, including the MRO's information session for intending applicants and its library of successful ECR applications, is located at: http://www.research.unimelb.edu.au/grants/apply/unimelb/ecr/index.html
