Project Title: Stability of link items used in item bank calibration.

Chief Investigator: Ms Masa Pavlovic

Funded by: 2008 Melbourne Graduate School of Education Competitive Grant

Project Summary: The ARC has developed an item bank over the past eight years, consisting of more than 1600 Math’s, General Ability, and English items. The response history for each item has been collected in order to provide a complete history of item usage for the calibration process. Over the years the tests have been designed with a certain number of linking items between different test levels for each different test type, and also items that link the tests from different years. As the quality of calibration process is only as good as the linking items the aim of this project is to examine the item stability over years, over different test levels and drop in item difficulties due to item overexposure.
