Project Title: Reflective Practice Online for Graduate Teachers in the UAE

Project Summary: The project investigates the challenges that graduate teachers face in implementating constructivist-based teaching in Emirati schools. Data will be elicted through an online forum desgined to facilitate a community of reflective practice, and analysed in relation to: key issues of concern to the graduate teachers; suggested ways to address these concerns; and the perceived effectiveness of the online community of practice to these and future cohorts of graduates.

The project will inform the design of an ARC Linkage grant, with the aim of studying, over time and in depth, the perceptions of graduate teachers and the contexts within which they work.
