Secondary Teaching : Course Structure and Delivery
The first 150 points (equivalent full-time 1.5 years of study) comprise the Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary), at the end of which students will be qualified to teach in secondary schools.
The 150-point Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) is available in two alternative modes:
- Accelerated full-time mode, in which the 150 points (equivalent to 1.5 years of full-time study) is undertaken intensively within a calendar year
- Reduced load full-time mode, in which the 150 points (equivalent to 1.5 years of full-time study) is spread over two years
Students have the choice of completing the additional 50 points of study to take out the Master of Teaching (Secondary).
This can be undertaken anytime up to five years after completion of the Postgraduate Diploma.
