Master of Education (Teaching Content Through English)

This innovative degree program is one of the few internationally, and the first in Australia, that has been specifically developed to provide the pedagogical, linguistic, sociolinguistic, cultural, and cognitive knowledge necessary to teach content areas other than language – such as Maths, Science, and Technology – through the medium of English as a second or foreign language. The program addresses the needs currently faced by many educational systems throughout the world that recognise the significance of English as an international language, as well as the importance of developing a global capacity in other areas of innovation, such as Mathematics, Science, and Technology.

The program includes exit points at Postgradute Certificate, Diploma, and Masters level. Expressions of interest are currently being accepted for 2009 enrolments.
