Services Available
The Kwong Lee Dow Centre (KLDC) is a purpose built video conferencing facility available for hire and is located on the ground floor of the Alice Hoy building, just off the main Swanston Street entrance to The University of Melbourne. The room seats 26 participants comfortably in a round, boardroom style. Different room layouts and seating configurations can be arranged depending on your requirements, but group size remains limited to 26 participants. Dedicated technical support staff are available for the duration of your video conference.
The KLDC may be booked for video conferences configured as:
- a one-to-one link over IP
- a one-to-one link over ISDN
- a link to an external bridge which is coordinated by the client
There is a range of equipment in the room, available for all standard bookings. Non-standard equipment includes an interactive whiteboard, connecting to a personal laptop or digital television. An additional lead time is required for these.
Water and wrapped mints are provided by the venue administrators but no other food or drink may to be consumed in the KLDC. Clients must arrange an additional venue for tea/coffee and/or catering purposes and may wish to book Alice Hoy 242, 225 or Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 of the Plaza Conference Centre.
