Melbourne Graduate School of Education International Students

Incoming Study Abroad and Exchange Students

Whether you are majoring in education or interested in gaining an introduction to Teacher Education, studying Education at the University of Melbourne is a great way to explore new areas of learning.

Undergraduate Programs

Undergraduate students studying an education major at their home institution may be eligible to enrol in the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and the Bachelor of Education (Primary). These programs are accredited teaching programs, and require sound knowledge in the field of Education and Learning. Education majors may also be eligible for School Experience: International, a practicum subject which includes observation visits and teaching experience in a local school or early childhood setting.

Education Breadth subjects are also available to incoming Study Abroad and Exchange students, and are favoured among students from many disciplines. Also popular with SAEX, Uniquely Australian subjects provide opportunities to explore Australia’s natural landscapes and develop an understanding of Australian culture and society.

Graduate Programs

The Melbourne Graduate School of Education offers generalist and specialist Graduate Coursework and Research degrees, which are accessible to students on Study Abroad and Exchange programs. Graduate students can choose from a broad range of interest areas including Language Education, Curriculum, Special Needs and Educational Leadership.
