About the Melbourne Graduate School of Education
Aligned with the introduction of the Melbourne Model, the Faculty of Education will soon be moving solely to a graduate model of education. Associated with this change, from 2008, the Faculty will be changing its name to the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. The Melbourne Graduate School of Education will lead the way in providing high quality teaching programs, student-friendly approaches to learning and relevant research. The last intake of undergraduate programs will take place at the start of 2008, with all intakes from 2009 onwards being graduate entry only.
With a proud history of nearly 140 years of teaching and learning at the Parkville campus, the Melbourne Graduate School of Education will continue to offer exceptional teacher preparation through the newly created Master of Teaching. To complement the Master of Teaching, the Melbourne Graduate School of Education will offer established educators a variety of coursework and research programs.
