Equal Opportunity in Education Advisory Committee
The Equal Opportunity in Education Advisory Committee is a standing committee of the School Board. The membership of the committee consists of the Dean (or his nominee), academic or professional staff representatives of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. representatives from the Centre for Indigenous Education, Disability Liaison Unit, School Experience and student representatives.The committee undertakes to advise the School on all aspects of equal opportunity; on issues raised both by committee members and staff and by students. It also monitors the School's adherence to the University's Cultural Diversity policy, and its initiatives in that area. It engages in special projects including holding forums on significant EO issues each year; providing support for our lecturer in Indigenous Education as required; contributing to the School's Strategic Plan on equity issues and assisting staff in furthering their careers through promotion, study leave or general career advancement opportunities.
