Australia Our Ark
An exhibition...

Australia Our Ark is an interdisciplinary investigation of a drought affected continent with a focus on the impact of drought on local environments. The teachers and students involved in this project developed an appreciation for the broader Australian environment through the focus on various ecosystems, creating visions of possible realities through art and narratives. The conceptual development of Australia as an Ark was inspired by a quote by the naturalist, Vincent Serventy:

"This land of ours has drifted for millions of years without any contact with the other continents of the world. So we can look at it as a kind of giant ark, carrying a remarkable cargo of strange animals, very different from those found in other places."
