Partnerships with Parents The Early Learning Centre is committed to the establishment of collaborative partnerships that link parents, children and staff together as a caring and resourceful community. Parents are welcome to visit the playrooms at any time to share their skills and interests, to cut up fruit or just to enjoy being part of the program. Individual arrangements for program participation should be made directly with Lead Teachers. Parent initiated meetings are conducted upon request and involve the participation of the Lead and Assistants Teachers and the Program Manager or Director. Centre Communication Group (Optional) All parents are welcome to join the Centre Communication Group (CCG), which provides a forum for parental involvement in the sharing of ideas, information and concerns regarding the Centre. It meets at least four times per year and comprises the Centre Director, representatives from the teaching and administration staff and other interested parents. Parents who are unable to attend meetings can communicate via their CCG Room Representative or via written suggestions, which can be posted in the LOCKED FEES BOX, which is located on the Reception Desk at the Administration Office. The purpose of this form of communication is to allow parents to forward suggestions for change or improvement on an informal and anonymous basis if desired. The group is formed annually dependent on parent interest/availability. Parent Evenings Twice annually or as required, parents are invited to attend seminars presented by early childhood teachers/ professionals covering a range of issues associated with children's care and education. Parent Information Board A Parent Information Board is located in the hallway of the Reception / Administration Office. Parents should familiarize themselves with the important information on display such as children's menus, centre policies and general community news. Parent Communication Downloads
