Leadership Program (SALP)
Student Ambassador Leadership Program (SALP)
- Looking for something more from University?
- Do you want to make new friends?
- Want to get more involved in the community?
What is SALP?
SALP is a 14-month extra-curricular program aimed at exploring
and enhancing your leadership qualities and skills by volunteering
with the University and wider Melbourne community.
The program builds an invaluable network of support and guidance for
community-minded individuals.
Can I apply?
If you're in the 2nd or subsequent year of your undergraduate
degree (final years not eligible) or you are a postgraduate student,
you can apply!
If you're from Architecture, Education, ILFR, Music or Vet Science
then you can apply if you're in first year.
Applications are open to local and international students.
Where can I apply?
Fill out the on-line application form found on the following home page
www.services.unimelb.edu.au/live/salp/
Do we get training?
Yes! SALP offers a series of seminars and workshops
on topics such as public presentation, ethics and community project
management.
Ambassadors also participate in 2 Leadership Weekends that provide
training via personal challenges and working with others.
How are student ambassadors selected?
Each School has a quota of SALP positions. As applications
always exceed the number of available places, we cannot select all
those who apply.
