Graeme Jane is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Post-compulsory Education and Life-long Learning and an Associate at the Assessment Research Centre at The University of Melbourne and a Manager of Certain Knowledge. His work at the university has included the design and implementation of various research and development programs aimed at school improvement in the areas of literacy, the middle years, professional development and assessment. He has worked on a range of programs in Victorian government schools on leadership development and school improvement issues, particularly on the use and interpretation of data to drive school improvement programs.
He has recently worked with a Victorian team on the design and facilitation of a leadership development program for school leaders in Hong Kong. In 2001 he project managed the design and programming of the online Schools Valued Added Information System used by all secondary schools leadership teams in Hong Kong to drive their school improvement programs. More recently, he project managed the design and programming of a more extensive online reporting system, the VCE Data Service, used by all secondary school leadership teams in Victoria, Australia.
Graeme was formally Director, Curriculum and Assessment/Operations Branch at the Board of Studies (now the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) and has 10 years experience as a secondary teacher. |
