Role
Anne Walstab is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Post-compulsory Education and Lifelong Learning (CPELL) at the University of Melbourne. Since joining CPELL in 1999 (EORU at the time), Anne has conducted both qualitative and quantitative research projects on a state and national basis.
From 2004 to 2006 Anne managed the administration and analysis of a three-year longitudinal study of learners in Adult and Community Education. Other recent research projects include a MCEETYA study of interstate differences in student retention, an evaluation of the Youth Learning Officer Model in Tasmania, longitudinal tracking of school student outcomes in Victoria and of VET in Schools students in NSW, and mapping the composition and participation in Vocational Education and Training across Australia at regional level in order to identify drivers of participation in VET, as part of a national study of emerging skill needs and regional adjustment for NCVER.
Anne is currently undertaking a PhD in Education at the University of Melbourne entitled The VET sector and schooling: interactions and outcomes.
