Nicky Dulfer is a lecturer at the Melbourne School of Graduate Studies. She was formerly a secondary school teacher in both the UK and Australia, and completed her M.Ed. at the University of Melbourne in 2006. Her research focussed principally on issues pertaining to equity funding in Victorian Secondary Schools.
As a lecturer at MGSE Nicky currently undertakes a range of teaching and research responsibilities including planning, teaching and assessing post-graduate teacher candidates to ensure that students understand of the broader context of teaching with particular reference to issues of policy,equity and exclusion.
An interest in pedagogy and the socio-economic factors that may impact on students attainment has lead to her enrolment as a PhD student under the supervision of Associate Professor John Polesel and Professor Jack Keating.
