Membership
Role
Nathan is a research fellow at the Assessment Research Centre. He is involved in the development and implementation of various assessment-orientated projects, particularly the design, statistical analysis and reporting of various tests. He has participated in international research projects such as the Hong Kong PNET Project, the International Test of English Language and the Laos Grade 5 Pupil Achievement study as well as several national projects. Nathan teaches basic computer skills for data analysis in addition to tutoring in the Assessment, Teaching and Learning course within the Master of Teaching. He is responsible for developing computer software and algorithms for assessment and reporting tools. After working as an assistant at Exeter Preparatory School in the United Kingdom, he attained a Bachelor of Science with majors in Experimental Physics and Theoretical Physics from Adelaide University (and Leeds University) in 2003. Since then he has undertaken further tertiary education in probability and statistics, in addition to completing a Master of Assessment and Evaluation at the University of Melbourne in 2006.

Teaching Areas
Nathan conducts workshops relating to large-scale educational survey design and analysis. Nathan also tutors in the Assessment, Learning and Teaching course within the Master of Teaching.
