The conference aims to:

  • To explore innovatory approaches to early childhood education in changing times
  • To explore the place of early childhood education in shaping peace & respect for diversity
  • To networks researchers around key themes within the conference.

The key conference themes for 2004 are:

  • Creating new images of children, early childhood programs, policy and professional learning and development for a better world
  • Using new and alternative research methodologies and strategies in early childhood education
  • Researching for better worlds with children, families, communities and colleagues
