ARC Learning Profile Scales (ALPS) online
The Assessment Research Centre is currently developing an online reporting system called ALPS Online. ALPS Online is capable of producing a range of reports that are variously suitable for students, parents, educators and administrators. The system is completely web-based, meaning that users can register students, add and edit student assessment data, and view, save or print PDF reports whenever they have access to the internet. All ALPS Online reports uphold the notion of criterion-referenced reporting, bringing substantive meaning to student scores in the form of described proficiency statements. In this way ALPS Online provides a reporting solution that can directly support targeted instructional programs. For examples of how this has been achieved already, see the Swans project.
