The Artistic and Creative Education program is a new, unique and forward- looking initiative of the Graduate School of Education, based on seven philosophical principles of teaching and learning that will be essential and increasingly important in creating educational change appropriate for the 21st century.

Upcoming "Meet the Artist" event with Leigh Hobbs:
Critically acclaimed author and illustrator of children's books, Leigh Hobbs, will be talking about his work on Monday 3 August. Hobbs is best known for his character "Old Tom", which began as a series of 4 illustrated black and white junior novels (published by Penguin Books).
Places for this event are strictly limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible to Emma Brimfield.
This event will commence at 5pm in the Frank Tate Room, Alice Hoy Building.

Teaching of Shakespeare - 2010:
Artistic and Creative Education in conjunction with the Royal Shakespeare Company (UK) are pleased to announce that the Postgraduate Certificate in the Teaching of Shakespeare course will run in 2010. If you are interested in applying for this course, now is the time as places are limited.
Mapping Engagement at Artplay, First Year Report :
ArtPlay is an Australian Research Council Linkage study undertaken by staff working in the ACE Cluster with support from Artplay, City of Melbourne and Australian Council of the Arts.
