Literacy Across the School Subjects CD ROMKristina Love, Graeme Baker, Marie Quinn Literacy Across the School Subjects (LASS) is a video-based multimedia resource, featuring exemplary teachers working effectively with literacy to support learning in the middle and upper years of schooling. It focuses more specifically on the secondary subjects than the BUILT CD ROM, which offered a broader P-12 perspective. In addition to video materials, LASS provides many interactive opportunities for users to work with a range of the written and oral texts of schooling. It is designed most immediately for use in pre-service and post-graduate programs in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne and at other universities, nationally and internationally. However, like BUILT, LASS is also designed for use in a range of professional development contexts, both within Australia, and internationally in countries such as the UK, Denmark, South Africa and the UAE. To find out more details including how to purchase LASS visit the LASS website. |
