Artistic and Creative Education

The Artistic and Creative Education program is a new, unique and forward- looking initiative of the Graduate School of Education, based on seven philosophical principles of teaching and learning that will be essential and increasingly important in creating educational change appropriate for the 21st century.

  • ACE staff win tender for new Arts Victoria/Department of Education and Early Childhood Development research project:
    This prestigious project will investigate and evaluate partnerships between schools and the professional arts sector with a focus on excellence in student outcomes. Read more....

  • NSW Department of Education curriculum material on gender education:
    Richard Sallis is currently working with Dr Christine Halton to write a major curriculum document for the New South Wales Department of Education and Training based on gender education for upper Primary/lower Secondary school students. The six-week unit of work uses drama and theatre techniques to enhance understanding of gender identity. Once completed it will be trialled and evaluated across NSW schools later this year.
